This summer I have had the opportunity to photograph a lot of great families, including my friends Joe and Ruby and their adorable sons Trey and Colby. Trey and I spent a lot of time together during the first year of his life–I babysat him full time for about 6 months. He doesn’t remember that time, but I have good memories of it, and it is so fun to see how he has grown and changed since then! Here are some highlights from their shoot:

Earlier this summer I had a fun family shoot with my sweet friends Mark and Brenda and their beautiful kids Berkeley, Carter, and Chase. You may remember Berkeley, Carter, and Chase–I did a quick session with them back in December and got these shots. This time around it was great to get Mark and Brenda in the photos as well! In my last post, I shared photos from a family session I did with Ricky, Shelly, and Macey. During that session we also spent some time doing couples portraits. I had such a fun shoot with Brett and Brooke and their adorable kids Scarlett and Raef. Scarlett was so sweet and Raef gets the award for being one of the most smiley babies I have photographed! He loved the camera. Here are some highlights from their shoot:

I recently attended a great photography workshop by Phoenix wedding photographer Melissa Jill (you can read more about the workshop on Melissa’s blog). As part of the workshop, we had the opportunity to photograph a newlywed couple, Promise and Brian. As you’ll see from the pictures, Promise and Brian aren’t your average couple; in fact, while we were shooting them some people who were walking by stopped and asked if they were celebrities. I think they might be on their way! Promise is a multi-talented photographer, artist, and graphic designer, and Brian is a worship pastor at a church in the Phoenix area. Here are some highlights from our session:

We had the most beautiful light, and just the right amount of snow, when I photographed my good friends Kacy and Joanna and their beautiful kids Haley and Tyler. I wish I had these conditions for all my shoots! Here are some favorites:
